Thanks for joining us in our studio at the Rotary Centre for the Arts for this free monthly community art event.

All members of the community were invited to participate - we supplied the space and materials,

everyone showed up with loads of imagination and the willingness to play!

The theme for January's Doodle Night focused on removing dusty cobwebs in order to bring your dreams to life!

While you help us celebrate Mark and his work, you can create a collage with local artist and long-time

Cool Arts volunteer Kathy Almas during our second Community Art Night. All art supplies will be provided.

Both events will run simultaneously in the Cool Arts Studio (Studio 201 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, 421 Cawston Ave).

They are open to the public and admission is FREE!

Draw by Night #27
Day of the Dead at Cool Arts

Inspired by the Mexican holiday, this drawing party explored Dia de los Muertos. Throughout the evening we drew flowers, sugar skulls, food, and other offerings. Thanks to everyone who joined us for a night of networking and collaborative drawing with Myron Campbell as we hosted this

27th Draw by Night event!

Cool Cats Project:

Exhibit Opening & Cat Adoption Event

Thank you to all the Cool Arts supporters and cat lovers who joined us at the Cool Cats Project Exhibit Opening and Cat Adoption Event at the Rotary Centre for the ArtsThe FREE event included feline-themed artwork in a variety of mediums, a community art project, and some of the beautiful cats that the OKCC has up for adoption!

The Cool Cats Project, which has been funded by the City of Kelowna, is a partnership between Cool Arts and the OKCC that is aimed at increasing awareness about the estimated 18,000 feral cats living in the Central Okanagan. The OKCC assists by spaying and neutering cats, then re-homing or releasing them to live out their lives without perpetuating the overpopulation problem.

Cool Arts artists (adults with developmental/diverse abilities) have created art, using cats as a theme, in various mediums (painting, clay sculpture) under the mentorship of local artists Lee Claremont, Sharilyn Kuehnel, Sarah Parsons, Potters Addict Ceramic Art Centre, and
Rena Warren.

and a big shout out to Kathy Almas for a spectacular installation!

The show will be on display at Milkcrate until further notice. All pieces displayed are available for purchase.
