Adult Programs

Cool Arts offers one-hour weekday classes that are designed for participants interested in simple and rewarding processes. Projects are theme based, process oriented, or engage the participant in community involvement.

Open Studio Program

Members can utilize space and supplies in our supported studio in a non-instructional drop-in session.

Wednesdays     10 am - 12 pm                          
Drop in fee for members $3  

Portfolio Club

Portfolio club is a new drop-in program that offers emerging artists in our community the opportunity to develop their work to a professional level with the goal of submitting it for public presentation. Given the tools, resources, and guidance to share their work publicly and with peers, this club hosts a supportive environment for artists of all skill levels and abilities to launch their passion into a career!


This program is open to artists of all abilities from throughout the community - come join Cool Arts regulars in developing a portfolio.

Animation Club 

This hour-long weekly class offers artists a guided project series focused on the process of animation making and visual storytelling. The rewarding mediums of simple animation will provide our members with a platform from which they can present their unique artistic points of view to an even wider audience.

Transitioning Adult Programs

Cool Arts offers regular weekday classes for transitioning adults in grade 11 and 12, up to age 19. This program is offered in partnership with resource teachers in School District 23. All activities, designed to be process oriented and experiential, take place in a safe, student-centered environment where participants can make discoveries in art practice without distraction. All participants are required to attend with a support worker or certified educational assistant.

As Cool Arts Society grows to meet the creative needs of our participants, we find that we are in need of specific items in order to facilitate our programs. Cool Arts graciously accepts any donations and will issue tax-receipts where applicable.
